A driver who crashed into a wall in Pembroke had suffered a medical issue, police said today.

The 30-year-old Devonshire man did not require hospital treatment after the incident in the area of Pitts Bay Road and Serpentine Road, yesterday, shortly before 11am. The wall was not damaged.

Today, police said the driver was cared for and assessed at the scene by EMTs but did not need to go to hospital.

Initial information had incorrectly suggested that he was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital by ambulance for medical assessment.

Witnesses should call police on 295-0011.
