A motorcyclist who led police on a chase was banned from the roads for 18 months yesterday.
Magistrates Court heard that Couver Wilkinson, 52, was seen to weave through traffic on Hamiltons Queen Street, which forced other traffic to stop.
A nearby police car signalled Wilkinson to pull over but he sped off and was chased through the Middletown area of Pembroke.
The court heard that police lost Wilkinson, but later tracked him down and arrested him.
An earlier police check showed that Wilkinsons bike was also unlicensed and uninsured.
The incident took place on January 11.
Wilkinson, from Devonshire, pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, riding an unlicensed motorcycle, having no insurance and failure to stop for police.
Senior magistrate Juan Wolffe fined the defendant $3,050 and ordered him to pay it all by January 15 next year.
He asked Wilkinson: Was it worth it?
Wilkinson said: No.
