Ten people were arrested at the weekend on suspicion of drink driving.

A spokesman for the Bermuda Police Service said that six of the arrests were connected to roadside breath checks.

The roadside checkpoints were conducted in seven parishes from Friday night until yesterday evening.

The spokesman said that the next series of checkpoints would be conducted this weekend.

He added: “The checkpoints will be in effect in Hamilton Parish, Smith’s, Devonshire, Pembroke, Paget, Warwick and Southampton on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.”
