A man suffered head injuries after his motorcycle struck a truck and a wall near the Clayhouse Inn.

The victim, a 21-year-old Hamilton Parish man, was travelling west, behind the truck, when the crash happened on North Shore Road on Thursday, shortly before 8am.

He collided with the vehicle after the truck driver attempted to turn right. The motorcyclist then also hit a wall.

He sustained cuts to his head, arms and legs, and was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the truck, a 34-year-old Pembroke man, was not hurt.
