A 54-year-old Devonshire man was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving after a crash on Friday.

Police said his westbound motorcycle collided with a scooter coming in the opposite direction at about 6.20pm on St John’s Road, Pembroke, near the junction with Cox’s Hill Road.

The rider sustained a head laceration with bruises to his hands and legs while the scooter driver, a 24-year-old Pembroke man, sustained a broken jaw, laceration to the knee and bruises to his body.

Both men were taken by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.
