Motorists are urged to avoid a stretch of road in Southampton as a result of downed cables.

The area affected is between Camp Road and Riddell’s Bay, according to a police press release at 4.20pm.

A police spokesman encouraged people to use South Shore Road as an alternative route to avoid delays.
