Drivers at a dairy business have backed a police roadshow on safety.
Vincent Darrell, of Warwick, said the event was very productive.
The 42-year-old Dunkleys Dairy employee said that in the future he will try to be more aware of the traffic that is on the road.
Mr Darrell added: If everybody is able to get a presentation like this, then Bermuda can be a safer and more enjoyable island with fewer deaths.
Donald Ford, 38, also from Warwick said the class was both informal and informative.
Mr Ford said: Road safety is very important in Bermuda because we have a lot of deaths resulting from it. After what I saw today, I think it will have a great impact.
Inspector Robert Cardwell, head of the Bermuda Poilce Service Roads Policing Unit, highlighted the relevance of the road safety programme.
He said: In a nutshell, this programme is an eye-opener and makes people think.
I know for a fact that everyone who was in that class today is going to be thinking about what they are doing the next time they hit the ignition on their vehicle.
Michael Dunkley, the former Premier and co-owner of Dunkleys Dairy, attended the class with his employees.
Mr Dunkley said: We try to talk about road safety but this reinforces it for guys who are on the frontline and have to live it every day.
Safety is critically important and obviously at Dunkleys we have a lot of vehicles on the road pretty much 24 hours a day.
Just like anyone on the road, you have challenges from time to time. Unfortunately, it seems like as you drive more, you allow your defensive driving tactics to decrease and you grow distracted and complacent.
Mr Dunkley said: I know how hard the Bermuda Police Service works to make a difference but its about all of us. Dunkleys plans to talk about it on a regular basis.
Mr Cardwell said there needs to be some conversation to legislate and to introduce some education components.
He added: For example, is it appropriate that someone who drove impaired goes to court, gets a year off the road, pays $800 and gets their licence back in a year without any education?
