A 42-year-old woman was in intensive care yesterday after her motorcycle struck a wall in the early hours.

The victim, from Devonshire, suffered serious injuries in the crash on North Shore Road, near the junction with Seon Drive, in Hamilton Parish, at about 12.35am.

Police said that she had been admitted to the intensive care unit at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

Traffic diversions were in place for about four hours.

Two other victims from crashes earlier this week remained in the intensive care unit yesterday.

A 17-year-old man was seriously injured in a jet-ski crash near Robinson’s Marina, Somerset Bridge, on Tuesday, and a 47-year-old motorcyclist was badly hurt in a crash on Store Hill, Smith’s, on Monday.

Witnesses to any of the incidents should call 295-0011.
