A woman injured in a crash at Barkers Hill roundabout was released from hospital yesterday.

The 49-year-old motorcyclist was hurt when she collided with a car as both attempted to negotiate the Devonshire junction on Monday, at about 5.25pm.

She was taken by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment but has now been discharged.

The car driver, a 42-year-old St George’s man, was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving but later passed the alco-analyser test at Hamilton Police Station.

He has since been released from police custody pending further inquiries.

Witnesses should call police on 295-0011.
