A 58-year-old man was trapped in his car, with leg and chest injuries, after his vehicle collided with another early yesterday.

The Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service attended to extricate the injured man from his car.

Police said the man was taken to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment while the driver of the other car, aged 32, who was also injured, was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.

A spokesman for the Bermuda Police Service said yesterday: “It is understood that the 32-year-old man’s injuries are less serious than the 58-year-old man’s injuries.”

The crash happened on South Road, Paget, near the junction with Happy Talk Lane, at about 2.40am. Police have appealed for witnesses to call 295-0011.
