A motorcyclist was taken to hospital after a crash in Devonshire yesterday.

Police were dispatched to the junction of Corkscrew Hill and Middle Road at about 10am.

A police spokesman said that it appeared the motorcycle and car collided as the car attempted to turn on to Corkscrew Hill.

The spokesman said: “The injured rider, believed to be a 33-year-old Southampton man, was transported via ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.”

Police later said the rider was in stable condition.

No other injuries were reported.
