The captain of Premier Division champions PHC Zebras was today fined and banned from the roads for driving while disqualified.

Cecoy Robinson, who has played for Bermuda as a midfielder, admitted the offence when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court this morning.

Prosecutor Karen King told the court that the 30-year-old was arrested for a traffic matter around 4.45am in Pembroke on June 29.

A police check revealed that he had been banned from driving until October 15.

In court today, Robinson said: “I was in a bad spot. I didn’t have a choice. But it’s my fault. It isn’t anyone else’s fault.”

Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo fined him $1,000 and disqualified him from driving for 18 months.
